day 3 - april 13, 2015
much the same as day 2 but a cold front came through. we spent the afternoon badgering tommy the assistant maitr d, into finding us new table mates. our old ones needed an overhaul. it was like sitting with morticia and norman bates' mother. we begged and pleaded and threatened mutiny. at least tommy spoke more english than most. hey, it's an italian line, what did you expect.
by dinner time, we were happily seating with a funny couple from the villages. tommy had done good.

keeping swimming, lee, we're almost there . . .
day 2 - april 12, 2015
cue the shark music. waking up in the bermuda triangle.
da dun. da dun.
spent the day laying in the sun, drinking bloody mary's and eating. eating a lot. did i mention we had this tiny little balcony?
we tried to convince them that we needed lounge chairs for our tiny balcony but poor alberto, our cabin steward, from bali, said no. he was really very sweet but yes and no were the mainstay of his vocabulary. he learned 'ice' and that made us happy.
i have uber amounts of shots of the ship but they really are just the normal crystal staircases. orange bars and food stuffed buffets. they wouldn't let us take shots of the areas we got escorted out of. and they had the audacity to put an age limit on the tube slide in the kids area. pffffttttt. we were totally game.

saturday, april 11, 2015 - day one.
up at 4:45 to toss the bags into kidlet's car, pick up lee, and head out to our bus pick up point.
one slight little problem. the bus company the tour service hired forgot to schedule a driver. having sent kidlet home and back to bed, we decided to nosh away the two hour wait for our bus and driver.
another quick stop at the kennel club to pick up seventeen red hat ladies . . . oh yes we did . . . we were finally on our way to the port of miami. yay.
and got on board this monster:
just us and 4,361 other happy people.

have you figured out yet that i am . . .
a shoe ho?
and i am drooling. look at these cute little flats from my favorite shoe company, Lucky Brand.
please excuse the fuzz, i guess they don't like sharing. i have so many peach, coral tops crying in my closet for these dudes. and they could keep my pink ones, and plaid ones, and beige ones, blue ones and blue floral ones company. it's an addiction.
am i done, nope. now these cuties . . . i love. could i wear them?
we won't discuss that. still drooling.
i think it is time to balance my check book.

what happens when a bored housewife . . .
is left with an empty room that begs for decoration?
this:
we're going nautical. well of course, the ocean is a mere 21,120 steps away, so why not. in truth, the 9TS had all of his father's old fishing poles and they were sitting in the garage gathering dust. so i moved them to the guest bedroom so they can gather dust there instead. they're kind of sentimental-ish that way, not that i am big on fishing because i am not. i want my fish served on a plate in a nice restaurant with a glass of something, something to go with.
but the last time that room had any decor, kidlet was still in high school and it was draped in stinky running clothes, lost homework assignments and piles of books. it's time for a change. i also have a framed photo of a painting of my great, great grandfather's sailing ship. well, not his but he was the captain. except it too sat in the garage and something on top of it pressed the photo into the glass and pulled a tiny bit of photo off with it. so if i catch you looking for it, you'll be busted for reading my blog.
the rest will come from home goods. oh and i have an old but clean crab net stashed in the garage too. can we call the style garage shabby chic?
and this little goodie appeared on facebook, so i lifted it because, well, just look:
