OK, I am cheating. This was taken yesterday afternoon at Addison's 5th birthday party. Seven little boys for a sleepover. Can you say: brave parents?

I think I played a little too much with the lighting. The sun was going down and I had lost his face.

Here's my catch for the day. I don't know who was more startled when Gordon came around the corner. Me for standing in his yard taking the shot or he for finding me there. Good thing he is such a nice neighbor.

But what I am really exited about is learning a few new goodies from the girls over at JessicaSprague.com., like how to add a copyright symbol, how to convert the signature to a PNG file and then into a brush. Thank you Kimi and Jessica.

This is a very early shot as we are headed out for the day. Nothing like tromping around in wet grass as the sun is coming up . . . I wonder what the neighbors think???

photo a day . . .

Over at JessicaSprague.com, we are doing a "Photo-A-Day" project for the month of May. Each day we are to take and post one shot to the gallery with hopes of learning more about picture taking and our cameras. Here is my first entry. Fingers crossed that I can keep this going. I would really like to improve my photography.

Inconsiderate bug!!

Electronics: the good, the bad, the ugly . . .

It's an exciting age to be honking around on computers. New gadgets and gizmos and goodies, all at your finger tips. Last fall my computer crashed and took everything with it . . . me not being big on back up at the time . . . sigh. But I did learn my lesson and now I have two EHD's. One monster on my desk and a smaller portable to enable me to switch between my desk top and laptop with ease. I keep all my precious digi kits on both and in midstream yesterday, my portable EHD crashed. Hard. Three phone calls later, I am up and going again. But, being of little faith and ever lesser knowlegdge, I am afraid it might do it again. ACK!

My second ACK! of the morning came while reloading the portable. 184 digi kits later. Yep. ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FOUR!!! No typo. I blame it graciously on the benevolence of my digi friends who gleefully pass on freebie sites. Yes, Dewie, if you are reading, that includes you! And yes, I have done my share of damage at the digi stores . . . just ask the girls at http://www.designerdigitals.com/. Love their stuff. I am a collector, what can I say . . but, when is enough? Is there ENOUGH? Is there REALLY enough? I must ponder this awhile.
