early morning prep . . .

home from the grocery store and chopping and cutting.  decided to get all the tedious stuff done before the world wakes up and my nose falls into a book or is glued to the Olympics.

first was this weeks supply of mediterranean salad:

followed by the topping for grilled french bread lightly smeared with olive oil:

not sure why i can't take a decent picture lately but my tummy doesn't care.

Kudos for the hometown boy:  Ryan Lochte!!!!  He graduated the year before Kidlet started high school.  and how can you resist the grin?!?!?!
