things I learned over Thanksgiving . . .

If you have a double oven, make sure you turned the correct one on.

While using an apple corer, make sure your thumb is two centimeters to the left.

When mashing potatoes make sure the bowl is big enough and the beaters on low.

Measure twice, cut once. (I seem to be having particular difficulty with this one.)

It is not polite to snore while others are watching TV.

Make sure your kidlet knows which bowl of eggs are hard boiled.

The reading glasses you can't find just might be in the garbage can.

and lastly, that no matter what goes wrong, it is still Thanksgiving and your family already knows your quirks and doesn't care.
