genetics . . .

We were nosing around an antique/junk store today. Katie found an ancient typewriter she dearly wanted. In the midst of haggling over price, we had a short conversation with the man:

He: What does she want this for?

Me: Photography. She is my quirky kidlet.

He: Yeah, I noticed the Boy Scouts of America shirt.

Me: Yep, quirky.

Katie: And when I grow old, like you, I'll be eccentric too.

Me: (Chuckling softly) It's genetic.
