hey mister . . .

since we ran out of propane for the gas grill, i decided i could fix it by my lonesome.  i googled a video, removed the empty tank, inserted the new one and ta-da!!!!  i was back in business.  but i am a scaredy cat so i texted Joanie to see if her hubby would, at his convenience, come make sure i did it correctly and was not about to send myself to the moon the first time i used it.

in the meantime, i headed to the driveway to cut the dead nozzle off of the hose and replace it with the new coupling i bought at ACE.  i managed to saw off the head . . . and yes it took a saw . . . and was trying to insert the whatsit when i heard a voice telling me i had it in backwards.   joanie's mister grabbed the pieces and in two seconds flat, i had a new working nozzle.  thanks, mister.

he headed to the pool deck while we played with the hose.  after assuring me i had changed out the tank correctly . . . yay me . . . he walked back out front and noticed my stumps.  you know, the ones left over from the aborted bush bash that resulted in a broken water main . . .

and that was when this happened:
five times over.  or was it six.  there were roots and stumps galore.  they are all now down at the end of the driveway awaiting pickup.  i don't know why, but this was so much fun to watch!!!!

and then he noticed a broken sprinkler . . .  he fixed that too!!!!

thank you joanie for the use of your amazing mister and your awesome jeep driving skills.  don't i have the best neighbors!!!!
