another day at sea . . .

it seems we couldn't find a place to settle down for the duration.  bob and i started up on the top most area following breakfast with paul and vicki but even a couple of bloody mary's couldn't offset the wind and we sought lower digs but then it was too noisy.  so after watching a paper airplane contest, we gave up and went to the buffet for lunch.  tried our top aerie again but the only seats were in the sun.

we did have fun watching the boat pass between sicily and italy.  very. very. close.  went up to the sky lounge to try it out but we still couldn't get comfy and headed back to the cabin and sat on the balcony for a while until paul called and invited us to their room to see the volcano.  of course we had no idea what volcano it was but marina informed us it was the stromboli volcano, as in pinocchio  where the evil puppeteer master turned bad little boys into donkeys.

dinner was escargot and lobster tails.  marina brought me an extra one.  hooray.  slurp.

off to watch the broadway song show but ended up leaving early.
