don't ask me how to pronounce it but it's this totally adorable town down the croatian coast from dubrovnik. we took the bus to the old city, marched ourselves through the pile gate and into the harbor.
hopped on the ferry and took off for a forty minute ride stopping to drop off and pick up other passengers, passing sites like this along the way.
once in town, we started to wander around reinforced by some gelato. and then there were these.
and finally we decide to walk the point path and circuit back to town but the sites were gorgeous.
and then we got thirsty and . . .
and then maybe we got thirsty again.
but in-between round one and two, i may have had the urge to scramble down on the rocks to the bay where i may or may not have sliced my heel and had to wear flops for the rest of the trip.
we ran to catch the ferry back to dubrovnik and things were going swimmingly until robin noticed the captain was nodding off at the wheel. as in oops, we're veering off course. not to wake him to suddenly, robin and i broke into a chorus of 'oh, what a beautiful morning'. that did the trick temporarily but he still kept nodding off.
remember how i said that bob and i took a little flack over our sleeping arrangements?? david concocted this little goodie and presented it at dinner that night.
notice how thrilled bob is???? gotta love this crew.
