armadillo.
joanie and i were walking this morning and out of the corner of my eye, i spotted an armadillo snuffling along down below the raised sidewalk. cute little fellow with spiky fur hanging off his leather suit. i took two shots of him. i deleted the second because he did a nose dive off of the piece of cement he was on and fell to the ground. the first was a keeper or would have been had my lightening fast fingers not deleted it instead of mailing it to myself. sigh. other than the idea of leprosy, we could have been friends. i named him archie.
so then since it was tuesday and nancy and i were headed to La's for lunch, i figured i would get a shot of my all time favorite sammie. grilled chicken, spinach, mozzarella, on a warm ciabatta roll with pesto mayo and balsamic reduction with a side of fresh fruit. i got so entranced with the goodness, i forgot to take a photo.
never mind, i was making sausage, bean and spinach soup for dinner. easy photo opt. let's just say photos are trumped by food goodness anytime.
so indeed, there are no photos for today but there was, lots of happiness. namaste.

You do know that the leprosy bearing armadillo's transmitting it to humans is not true, right? All of the new cases of leprosy in the U.S. are people who contracted it outside of the U.S. While armadillo's DO carry the disease, none of the current cases were from them. The chances of you catching the disease from an armadillo is very small. If I can find the link debunking this myth, I'll send it to you.
Otherwise, looks like a happy day in JeanneLand!
