so yesterday, big brother craig, kidlet and i headed up north. once there, we picked up her best friend, jen and at 9:00 a.m. we slid into a parking place and found some seats to settle in and watch the action. i have to say, i am mortally wounded by the shots i took with my big girl camera. jen's cell did much better. (back to reading the manual.)
in a little under an hour, it was all over except for the ear to ear grin on the kid. it still hasn't worn off. we headed to cracker barrel (kidlet's choice) for a celebratory breakfast. more grinning.
we were supposed to have dinner at carrabba's with our friend lee but she is out of commission yet again, so kidlet decided she would rather pick up some chinese to take to lee's than to have her miss the moment. have i mentioned how much i love this kid?
best quote of the day came from craig: "i came because dad could not." OMG, these kids.
